Taking Care of Business
The ITC Project will create good-paying jobs and promote workforce development, training programs and other opportunities to provide meaningful career pathways and promote equity.
COMMUNITY WORKFORCE AGREEMENT
The City of Inglewood executed a Community Workforce Agreement with Los Angeles-Orange County Building and Construction Trade Council. The Agreement requires at least 35% of project construction hours are worked on the Project to be from local residents, 10% from workers who have faced a variety of employment barriers, and up to 30% from apprentices from each craft’s workforce.
Once the Project is built, the ITC JPA will require the developer to support a living wage and meet 35% local hire and 10% transition worker requirements throughout operations and maintenance.
DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS ENTERPRISE PROGRAM
The Joint Powers Authority is committed to fostering an inclusive and thriving business environment through its Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program.
The program has been developed to promote and support small, local, and disadvantaged businesses, ensuring they are actively involved in the development of the ITC.
