Additionally, by shifting thousands of trips, especially on event days, away from single-occupancy vehicles, Phase 1 will reduce vehicle miles traveled, lower greenhouse gas emissions, and improve air quality.

Phase 1 comes with real commitments to Inglewood workers: a Community Workforce Agreement requiring 35% of construction labor hours to come from local residents, plus a 10% goal for opportunity hires, including veterans and previously unhoused individuals, and a 20% aspirational goal for small and local business participation in the work itself.
Investing in Market Street
Beyond the Mobility Hubs, the plan invests in Market Street with streetscape upgrades, improved lighting, wider and more accessible sidewalks, new landscaping, and the Destination Market Street Façade and Tenant Improvement Program to support local storefronts and businesses.
Ready for the World Stage
Inglewood will welcome the world during the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Scheduled for completion by Spring 2028, Phase 1 and its event-day bus lanes will help the City move roughly 200,000 daily visitors safely and efficiently when it matters most.
